GOD's Purpose

We know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love god and are called according to His purpose for them.This verse talks about "good". this is often interpreted to mean "pleasant" or "enjoyable". But some things in our life that are good for us involves pain.Consider the parent who disciplines a child or a doctor who must apply a painful treatment to heal a wound.The parent and doctor know why they are "hurting" the child and patient,even though the one being affected may not understand. God knows everything ,including the future, and he has a purpose for our life.We need to submit to God and trust that what we are experiencing will be used for our good.

FAILURES ARE STEPPING-STONES TO SUCCESS

We have to encounter our failures before we achieve success.One has to march forward crossing over the thorny path, face hurdles, solve problems & learn lessons from them.Experienced people know that life is a journey and not the goal.We have to turn our failures into oppurtunities.

A Journal interviewed Zig Ziglar,a pscychologist,and asked him who was great, the one who has come up by dint of hard work or the one who was the son of a great man and became a successful businesman.

The pscychologist said the latter was great.Asked to explain, Ziglar said that we could find several men of the first category but rarely men of the second category.

One who was born with a silver spoon in the mouth did not know the difficulties his father had suffered in life.He would be habituated to whiling away the time.Nor would he know the value of money.He did not also enjoy the happiness in overcoming difficulties.If such a man could competently conduct the business it was an ordinary thing, conclude the psychologist.History is replete with instances of instituitions established by fathers disappearing in the time of their sons.

CHANGE

The six cardinal principles of success are:

1. Commitment- binding yourself to a goal.
2. Honesty- uprightness or probity
3. Attitude change- adapting yourself to the needs.
4. Non-Controversial- not poking your nose into others' affairs.
5. Goal setting- Setting goals and moving forward and
6. Emotional intelligence- the ability to keep one's emotions under control.
